Ingredients
- 700 g pork shoulder or pork belly, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork pieces and cook for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and slightly crispy.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet with the pork and stir well to coat evenly.
- Let the mixture simmer for 5–7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and caramelize around the pork.
- In a separate small bowl, mix water and cornstarch to create a slurry. Add it to the skillet and stir continuously for 1–2 minutes until the glaze becomes thick, sticky, and glossy.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a satisfying, flavour-packed meal.
