Sticky Garlic Ginger Beef with Broccoli and Slurp-Worthy Noodles

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  1. 8 oz egg noodles
  2. 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  3. 3 cups broccoli florets
  4. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  6. 1/4 cup soy sauce
  7. 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  8. 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  9. 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  10. 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  11. 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  12. 1/2 cup water
  13. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  14. 2 green onions, sliced
  15. Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, toss sliced beef with cornstarch and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Sear beef quickly until browned, then remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry until fragrant.
  5. Add broccoli and cook for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. In a small bowl, mix remaining soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and water.
  7. Return beef to the pan, pour in the sauce, and stir well. Let simmer until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  8. Add cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated and slightly sticky.
  9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
