Slow Cooker Honey Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients

  1. 25 ounces boneless skinless chicken thighs
  2. 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  3. 3 tablespoons honey
  4. 3 pieces garlic cloves, minced
  5. 1 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
  6. 1 tablespoons rice vinegar
  7. 1 teaspoons sesame oil
  8. 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  9. 1 tablespoons sesame seeds & sliced spring onions

Instructions

  1. Mix & Slow Cook: Whisk together 4 tablespoons soy sauce, 3 tablespoons honey, 3 pieces garlic cloves, minced, 1 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated, 1 tablespoons rice vinegar, and 1 teaspoons sesame oil in the slow cooker.
  2. Add 25 ounces boneless skinless chicken thighs, coat well, cover and cook on low for 7 hours or high for 3 hours until the chicken is fall-apart tender.
  3. Lift the chicken out and shred it with two forks.
  4. Stir 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with a splash of cold water into the remaining juices, then return the shredded chicken and stir everything together until the sauce turns gloriously thick and glossy.
  5. Scatter over 1 tablespoons sesame seeds & sliced spring onions and serve straight over steamed rice or noodles.
