Sizzling Beijing-Inspired Beef Stir-Fry with Sweet-Savoury Glaze and Crisp Vegetables Servings: 4

Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked white rice, for serving

Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the beef in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add remaining oil, then sauté garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add bell pepper, broccoli, and onion. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture.
- Stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
- Drizzle with sesame oil, sprinkle red pepper flakes if using, and adjust seasoning.
- Serve hot over steamed rice.
