Creamy Steak Penne with Broccoli & Zucchini

Ingredients

  1. 12 oz penne pasta
  2. 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  3. Salt, black pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning
  4. 2 tbsp olive oil
  5. 3 tbsp butter
  6. 4 cloves garlic, minced
  7. 1½ cups broccoli florets (lightly steamed)
  8. 1 medium zucchini (sliced into half-moons)
  9. 1 cup heavy cream
  10. ¾ cup whole milk
  11. 1¼ cups grated parmesan cheese
  12. Optional: red pepper flakes, parsley, extra parmesan

Instructions

Cook the pasta:
Boil penne in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sear the steak:
Season steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak bites until browned and cooked to your liking (about 3–5 minutes). Remove and set aside.

Cook the veggies:
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add zucchini and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender. Stir in broccoli and cook another 2 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Make the cream sauce:
Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring well. Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Add the cheese:
Stir in parmesan until melted into a smooth, creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Bring it all together:
Return steak and cooked penne to the skillet. Toss everything gently until fully coated in the creamy garlic parmesan sauce.

Garnish and serve:
Top with fresh parsley, extra parmesan, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a little heat. Serve warm and enjoy every creamy, savoury bite.

This creamy skillet pasta is the ultimate comfort combo—juicy, seared steak, tender penne, and fresh broccoli with zucchini, all coated in a rich garlic parmesan cream sauce. It’s hearty, vibrant, and packed with flavour in every bite.

Why It Works:
The rich cream sauce hugs every piece of penne while the steak adds bold, savoury depth. Broccoli and zucchini bring freshness and balance, making this dish both indulgent and satisfying at the same time.
