Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced
- 6 strips bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 250g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 1/4 cup shaved parmesan
- Fresh parsley, chopped
For the fries: - 3 large potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste

Instructions
- In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving some fat in the pan.
- Add onions to the skillet and cook slowly until caramelized and golden. Set aside.
- Place chicken, garlic, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, and chicken broth into a slow cooker.
- Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook on low for 4–5 hours or until chicken is tender.
- Stir in heavy cream, sour cream, Dijon mustard, cooked bacon, and caramelized onions. Let cook for another 20–30 minutes until creamy and rich.
- Meanwhile, toss fries with olive oil and salt, then bake at 220°C (425°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Combine pasta with the creamy stroganoff sauce or serve sauce over pasta.
- Garnish with parmesan shavings and fresh parsley.
- Serve hot with crispy fries on the side for the ultimate comfort meal.
